FORCED MIGRATION AND HUMAN SECURITY APPROACH FROM A GENDER PERSPECTIVE

This article aims to offer an overview of the multiple forms of vulnerability and types of violence that migrant women face at origin (at the time of deciding to emigrate), during transit, and upon arrival in destination countries, based on human security approach and a gender perspective. All of which without ignoring the structural and holistic analysis that requires considering the intersections between patriarchy, capitalism, and racism as a framework to locate and understand these forms of violence.
